     During these two semesters, according to the teacher’s demand, we have to upload our compositions and journals on the Wix e-portfolio. While this action makes the course become much more complicated than other composition courses that I have taken before, I still enjoy the moment when I am doing the e-portfolio. Before using e-portfolio, I did not know there was a functional website. You can not only upload your personal information but also post your collective works. It can be a kind of resume for you to apply for a job one day. Therefore, I work hard when I am doing the e-portfolio every time. I find that by completing the e-portfolio, my English writing skills have improved a lot. I have not only increased my writing speed, but also fixed my grammar errors because the website has a free grammar checker to automatically revise your grammar and give you suggestions of other alternative words. Moreover, I also learn how to design the web page more clearly and attractively. We need to take care of the word funds and notice the color of the background, will it influence the viewer to read the content or not. These are the advantages to improve our experience and ability. On the contrary, if we merely upload the assignments on the ecourse2, we can’t learn those skills and do not know how to create our portfolio on the website. And through the other classmates’ peer assessment, I can directly realize where I should enhance and where I have done a good job. E-portfolio definitely provides lots of benefits to me. 

 

     However, it is undeniable that I do have encountered some challenges when doing the e-portfolio. Mostly, it is about the skill problem. If I want to post the picture on the web page, I need to upload them one by one, and it indeed takes some time to finish. In addition, I usually spend lots of time thinking about how I should design the web page so that it can be easily read. I don’t want it to be similar to the previous one, but I also don’t want it to be too simple. Hence, I decided to design them with different styles. But among all difficulties, I regard designing the page of about me as the most challenging one. I am wondering what the difference is between the page of home and about me. I used to think that they are the same one, but I still need to complete it. Thus, I have come up with a way to design my home page, and make it more creative and memorable. Now, I am extremely pleased with my e-portfolio, and I will continue to use it and post my works on the website. In my opinion, it is a good way for us to practice our capability.
